The Green Bus ARTSPACE is established to be a home base to support student art programs while offering a diverse schedule of exhibitions. The majority of proceeds from all sales are donated to school art programs and organizations that support them! Partners include Upward Bound House, 826LA, DonorsChoose, CAA, Greetings from South Central, and P.S. ARTS.

    As part of our summer programming, we have partnered with Upward Bound House to host a series of six art workshops for families in their network. Each workshop features a unique activity, giving participating families the chance to explore and experiment with different mediums and techniques.

    Winter Writers Workshop
    This winter, we hosted 826LA's Winter Writers Workshop, where young writers ages 6-18 were tasked with writing original short stories and poems inspired by works from our vernacular photography exhibition, LOST & FOUND. These Stories were compiled into a printed zine, culminatinf in a zine launch event.

    In partnership with P.S. ARTS, we hosted two children’s art workshops, inviting children to engage in hands-on, creative exploration guided by professional teaching artists.

     We launched the Young Artists Mural Project in collaboration with CISLA, distributing art supplies to Pre-K through 8th grade students in the district. With the support of the school art teacher, students  created collaborative murals.

    We hosted a special chamber music UpBeat Musicale by students from SOL-LA Music Academy in preparation for their end of year concerts- bringing performing and visual arts together in one space.
