Student Art Programs

The Green Bus ARTSPACE is established to be a home base to support student art programs while offering a diverse schedule of exhibitions. The majority of proceeds from all sales are donated to school art programs and organizations that support them! Partners include Upward Bound House, 826LA, DonorsChoose, CAA, Greetings from South Central, and P.S. ARTS.

Upward Bound House

We are partnered with Upward Bound House to host art workshops for families in their network on select Saturdays. Each workshop features a unique activity, giving participating families the chance to explore and experiment with different mediums and techniques.

Writers Workshops
As part of our partnership with 826LA's, we hosted their Winter Writers Workshop, where young writers ages 6-18 were tasked with writing original short stories and poems inspired by works from our vernacular photography exhibition, LOST & FOUND. These Stories were compiled into a printed zine, culminatinf in a zine launch event.
P.S. Arts

P.S. Arts is an organization deticated to providing arts education in sysetematically under-resourced schools and communities.

In partnership with P.S. ARTS, we host children’s art workshops, inviting children to engage in hands-on, creative exploration guided by P.S. Arts' network of professional teaching artists.
Creative Artists Agency (CAA)

We welcome CAA staff and their children for special family-friendly art workshops, encouraging intergenerational creativity and connection through art-making.
Communities In Schools of Los Angeles (CISLA)

We launched the Young Artists Mural Project in collaboration with CISLA, distributing art supplies to Pre-K through 8th grade students in the district. With the support of the school art teacher, students created collaborative murals.
Greetings from South Central LA

We are partnered with Greetings from South Central Los Angeles to host various art-making workshops with young artists from South Central Los Angeles.
WriteGirl

We partnered with Writegirl, a creative writing and mentoring organization for teen girls, to host a fundraising event in support of their amazing work for the year ahead!
SOL-LA Music Academy

SOL-LA is a Santa Monica, California-based music academy whose mission is to provide high quality performing arts education to students from all backgrounds and economic circumstances, in an engaging and encouraging environment fostering achievement and community.

We periodically host performances by SOL-LA's young musicians, introducing players to new acoustical challenges and audiences.
